Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG), as defined today, exist only since early 1990. World of Warcraft (commonly known as WoW) is an MMORPG in which a large number of players interact with each other in a virtual world. As in all Role Playing Games (RPGs), players assume the role of a fictional character and take control of a large number of shares of that character. MMORPGs are distinguished from single-player or small multi-player CRPG (Computer Role Playing Games) by the number of players and persistent play (World Player or used as a virtual persistent world role-playing scenario), so generally organized by the game's publisher, which continues to exist and evolve while the player is out of the game. The persistent player in the world is always available and events perpetually shifting world.

There are two types of characters of the player characters in the game (PC or simply "characters") and non-player characters (NPCs). A player character is an avatar in the world of Azeroth that is controlled by a player. The color of the label name of a computer may be blue, green, yellow or red depending of faction and player v / s Player (PvP) status. NPCs controlled by the game software and can only interact with PCs through scripted events or artificial intelligence (AI). There are three types of NPC-NPC Friendly, hostile NPCs, neutral NPCs whose names are shown in green, red and yellow. Friendly NPCs can not attack friendly and vice versa. Hostile NPCs freely can attack any PC with whom they are hostile. Neutral NPCs will only attack if provoked.

When creating a character in World of Warcraft, the player can choose between ten different races in different factions, for example, the Alliance and Horde. Race determines the character's appearance, starting location and initial skill sets, called "racial characteristics". The Alliance currently consists of humans, night elves, dwarves, gnomes and draenei. The Horde currently consists Orc, Tauren, Undead, Trolls and Blood Elves. Draenei and Blood Elf characters were introduced in The Burning Crusade, and require expansion was created. In addition to the ten playable races there are many NPC races including (but not limited to) Goblins, Ogres, Murlocs, and Naga.

The Powerleveling wow game has nine character classes that players can choose as a druid, hunter, mage, paladin, priest, thief, shaman, warlock, and warrior. But not all the classes are available for each race. Each class has a set of unique skills and talents. Skills are the generic skills and spells available to the entire class, while talents allow players to improve their specialized nature and role. Each class has a set of three trees talent. Function class, players may choose to build the talent trees of your character to inflict damage (also called damage second, DPS), healing, tank, or a mixture of both. Some courses, known as "hybrid classes," are capable of performing functions different depending on the needs of a group of

World of Warcraft runs natively on both Macintosh and Windows platforms. Safety copies of the game use a hybrid CD to install the game, eliminating the need for separation of retail products for Mac and Windows. The game allows all users to play in general, regardless of your operating system.

World of Warcraft uses server clusters allow players to choose their preferred type of game and to allow the game to support as many subscribers as is. There are four types of realms: Normal (also known as a role player or harm the environment) PvP (player vs. player), RP (Role Playing Normal / role server) and RP-PvP (PvP server roles).

Users can have up to ten characters per realm and up to fifty characters per account. Characters can move between the realms of the same region (eg a European server to another but not from a European server to an American one) for a fee.
