Do 32-bit programs and games run perfectly on 64 bit operating?
I plan to get Windows Vista 64-bit, but I wonder if all my programs working on it. Do the games work more like World of Warcraft? Programs such as Photoshop CS4 and other things work well?
Yes, all programs running on a x32 "Legacy" x64 State. There are some differences between the two types. 64 can carry twice as many colors as x32, which gives a much better idea what would be familiar. In addition, performance, x64 is much faster than the X32, and the difference is immediately noticeable. Moreover, in an x32 system, the amount RAM maximum that can be installed is 4GB, whereas on Vista Ultimate 64 bit, you might have 128 GB. The main disadvantage of 64 bits (the principal, but in XP) is that many programs are still not compatible, the decision to stay with x32 for a little more. But seeing as Vista (and especially the upcoming Windows 7) is essentially a system x64, this problem will not remain much longer. Hope that helps =]
