In World of Warcraft, is there a way to be online and your friends do not you see?

Sometimes I just want one and not social. In EverQuest, there a command that allowed not appear online to anyone, friends or not. Is there a similar command in WOW?

If you are on your friends list, unfortunately, alert you when you come online. I want to make a new char if you want to play, so stealth. Because even if you rename your car, the new name would be on your list friends (automatically) sorry: (
